Jewellery Making
A small group of gifted and talented artists were among the children who took part in our Jewellery making Apprenticeship Scheme. Their first job was to design a piece of jewellery using beads and wire, the beads were taken from old pieces of jewellery that had been brought into school. The children then created their bracelets with the help of a parent Ruth Haynes. Ruth makes her own jewellery pieces and goes under the name of Dandelion Fluff. Ruth brought in her metal stamping equipment for the next sessions and the children were given the chance to create their own metal jewellery.
'It's really hard doing the stamping but it is good fun.' Aaron, Year 4
'I loved making the jewellery and designing the pieces.' Lily-Beth, Year 6
