'Bake-Off returns!  Over four consecutive weeks pupils are putting their baking skills at home

to the test to help raise money for the school's PTFA. Starting with Haytor on Friday 5th November then followed by Saddletor, Burrator and finally Belstone children are bringing in chocolate cakes, fairy cakes, cream and sponge cakes and chocolate brownies to name but a few. These tasty treats are being sold at the end of the school day.

Well done to all those in Haytor their donations held raise £88.50 from the first sale.

'Leavers Hoodies'

Don't they look smart?!

Year 6 pupils have been presented with their 'Leavers Hoodies'.

A big 'Thank You' must go to our very hard working PTFA who kindly presented them, also 'thank you' to parents, carers and other family members who lend their support.

Throughout the year the PTFA lend their support to the school, this year not only have they bought the hoodies but they have also contributed towards the Year 6 visit to Exeter Laser Tag, the rainbow strips around the shelter in the Haytor Playground but also purchased digital headphones.

If you would be interested in joining the committee please speak to any of the members listed at the top of this 'page'.

Rainbow Strips!

A big 'Thank You' goes to our PTFA for their financial contribution to the new addition to the Haytor outdoor area.  Rainbow strips have been added to the outdoor shelter making it warmer and drier for the children when they are outside, pupils in Haytor love the rainbow effect created when the sun shines through and running between the strips is great fun!

Thank you to all parents for supporting the PTFA and to Mr Bartlett our caretaker for installing them.

Clothing Bank

In December the PTFA installed a clothing bank situated at the Village Hall in Chudleigh Knighton.  The school receives a donation per kilogram for items deposited in the bank.  This is a great way to empty out those cupboards and have a good clear out whilst raising money for our school.  Collections are every 2 weeks, the items you can deposite are:

  • Clothes
  • Paired shoes
  • Bags and Belts
  • Soft Toys

Please Spread the word and fill as much as you can so we can keep this fantastic fundraiser going.
