  • Reading Challenge

    Over the Half Term break Mr Westwood set a challenge to get a photo of our pupils reading in an out-of-the-ordinary places, the more creative the better.  Here are some we have received!

  • Foundation Pupils Bible Presentation

    Children who started school in Haytor class in September were presented with Bibles by Revd Alex Sharp earlier this month.  They were joined by children from across the school and family members at the service held in St Paul's Church. 

  • Bikeability and Harvest Festival

    Congratulations to all of our Year 5 pupils who undertook their Bikeability program this week.  The children spent the week in groups focusing on developing their cycling proficiency and road safety awareness whilst spending time on the roads within the local community.  There was fantastic feedback from the instructor and the efforts demonstrated by all across the week.

    This year's Harvest Festival was led by Saddletor and members of the Ethos Committee; congratulations to all who took part;this was the first of our 'special assemblies'.  The church looked amazing with all donations for the St Petrocks. 

     

  • Sports Day

    Many congratulation to Teign House this year's Sports Day winners; congratulations also to Dart and Exe who came very close runners up.

  • Dartmoor Walking

    Pupils in Year 6 spent the day walking on Dartmoor with the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust.  During the day they used their map reading skills to learn more about the geography and geology of Dartmoor and linked this to their learning about rivers. 

  • Netball Match Against Hennock Primary School

    Congratulations to members of our Colts and Senior's netball teams who played an 'away' match against Hennock Primary School.

    All team members showed great team sportsmanship - well done to all who played!

  • Year 6 Residential - Day 2

    A visit to the SS Great Britain filled Day 2 of the Residential before heading back to Barton Camp for an evening of games.

  • Year 6 Residential - Day 1

    Year 6 pupils headed off towards Bristol for their Year 6 Residential meeting up with pupils from Lady Seawards, Newton Ferrers and Colyton Primary Schools.  First stop Bristol Aquarium, followed by an ice cream then onto Barton Camp for their first night!

  • Inter-House Sports Morning

    Children spent a morning taking part in inter-house sports activities with Mr Flint and Mr Palmer.

  • Cricket Festival

    On Wednesday 27th April, Year 1 children attended Bovey Tracey Cricket Club to take part in a 'cricket skills festival'.  The event was organised by Niall, from Devon Cricket.  Children took part in a range of activities to help them practice some key skills; from bowling and batting to hand eye coordination and fielding.  Year 1 were fantastic and demonstrated our school values of perseverance, friendship and thankfulness throughout the afternoon.  We are looking forward to welcoming Niall into school later this term to continue developing our skills.
