Welcome to the CK Sports Reports Page

Our current School Sports Representatives are Namara and Jayden. They will be writing some of the reports giving us the blow by blow accounts of the matches and events that he attends this year. We hope you will also enjoy looking back at the reports from previous Ambassadors and Reporters as they share their reports of various sporting events through the years.

NETBALL SUMMARY July 2026

After a fantastic year of netball, the end of the season did not disappoint. A year 5/6 team travelled to Blackpool Primary School, where a strong performance secured the 11-2 win. This was followed by a year 5/6 tournament at Rydon Primary School. Strong defence, accurate passing and outstanding shooting meant that they were the only team unbeaten and came away as winners.

The commitment to weekly training by all the children, and a positive approach to learning new skills and structed match play has resulted in both the year 5/6 and 3/4 teams having such an enjoyable and successful year of netball.

It was lovely to end the year with a year5 vs year6 match, and an inter-club year 3/4 match. Thank you to all the supporters who cheered the teams on and provided a generous selection of snacks for the children to enjoy.

Many thanks also goes to Lewis and Charlie Wills for their continued help and support.

Finally, thank you to the staff for taking part in the annual year 6 vs staff netball match. After a friendly but fiercely competitive game, the staff came away with an 8-4 win. It was a lovely way to end what has been a wonderful year of netball at Chudleigh Knighton.

School Sports Touch Rugby Finals

Pupils in Year 4,5 and 6 participated in the School Sports Partnership Touch Rugby Finals at Stover School today. All children did themselves proud with some excellent skills displayed on the pitch and they worked together to support one another with great success. Year 4 finished in 4th place, missing out on a medal by 1 try and Year 5/6 came away with a 3rd place medal. Importantly, the children conducted themselves respectfully and showed excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Netball Successes!!!

We have already had some exciting netball events for our KS2 children. Teams of Y3/Y4 and Y5/Y6 played in a netball tournament at Teign School a couple of weeks ago with one of our Year 5/6 teams winning the competition overall. All teams played well, putting into practise the skills they have been developing in their training club sesssions after school.

The Teams also played a friendly match against Hennock Primary School last week, where again our children played exceptional well with wins for both teams. The Year 5/6 won 9-7 and the Year 3/4 won 9-0. Congratulations Team CK !!!!

SOUTH DEVON SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP - Dartmoor 3-Ball Final

Both our Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 teams successfully qualified for the Dartmoor 3- Ball Partnership finals in June.

These took place against other qualifying teams across the whole of South Devon. It was an extremely hot day but both teams did Chudleigh Knighton proud, playing brilliantly well and returning with medals. Well done to the Year 5/6 team for finishing in 2nd place and to our Year 3/4 team for finishing 3rd. A brilliant achievement!
