What an amazing day! Children came into school dressed in 'red, white and blue'; spent the day in a variety of activities based around the wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle, pupils designed and created wedding dresses out of plastic bags, made 'union flags', bunting, crowns as well as investigating the 'Royal Family Tree' and learning some patriotic songs.
In the afternoon children decorated the school playground with bunting then tucked into a 'Devon Cream Tea' which included the scones made by Burrator and staff from Ullacombe Farm (who kindly came in to assist make them). The winner of the 'Design a Wedding Cake' competition was announced, with the tea party ending with children having a slice of the cake made by Jo Cronshaw.
Congratulations of the winner Grace in Saddletor.
