Five primary schools from across the Trust met earlier this week to hold a debate. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 from Lady Seaward's, Rockbeare, Willowbank and Westcliff came together at Chudleigh Knighton to discuss and debate the 'motion' 'Should Social Media Have an Age Limit?'.
During the day children worked in groups either 'for or against' the motion to produce varied points for their arguments. They demonstrated great teamwork and co-operation; working together to produce their final line of reasoning. At times the point in question became a 'little heated' however, the children showed maturity and compassion towards their peers opposing views and gave great 'off the cuff' responses.
The debate was a huge success with both sides showing great confidence standing up in front of the school, the debate ended with the vote going 'for' the motion
