A very busy last week of the first half of the Spring Term. We began with a trip back in time for Burrator; as part of their topic 'The Stone Age' pupils visited Kents Cavern in Torquay to discover what life was like for ancient man!
Children in Haytor have made gingerbread men and put eggs into the incubator, hopefully in a few weeks we will see 6 baby chicks?
This week's 'Learning Exchange' took place on Thursday afternoon with pupils continuing to develop their chess, knitting and craft skills, 'Thank You' to all who join us each week to pass -on their knowledge in these areas. After half term our 'New Look Learning Exchange' launches on Thursday 8th March for pupils in Foundation through to Year 2 and on 15th March for children in Years 3 to 6. The week closed with a 'Virtual Visit to PyeongChang' for a day based around the Winter Olympics and the customs of Korea. During the day we held our annual 'Inter House Pancakes Races', this year the winning house was Dart with Exe and Teign as close runners up, well done to all who took part!
