What a busy week! The final week of the first half of the Autumn Term has witnessed children experiencing a wide variety of learning activities.
On Tuesday pupils in Year 4 went to Westpoint to learn about farming in Devon at 'FarmWise' an annual event organised by Devon County Council. During the day children made 'smoothies' using pedal power, made bread and watched sheep being sheered.
We were visited by Kirsten Beckwith from the Cats Protection League; she delivered workshops to children in Year's 2, 3, 5 and 6 highlighting the work of the Cats Protection League and how to be a responsible cat owner.
The cultures and traditions of Japan were investigated as children from across the school 'travelled to Japan for the day'. Whilst visiting pupils made model cherry blossom trees, 'Zen Gardens', had a go at 'Japanese Script' to name but a few.
