Annual Service of Rembrance

This year's Service of Remembrance began with pupils dressed in their respective Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs and Brownies uniforms carrying into the School Hall their 'association banners'.  It then continued with the 'Last Post' followed by a two minutes silence then, Year 6 children in Belstone (who hosted the service) gave a moving and powerful recital of two well-known World War 1 poems 'In Flanders Fields' and 'Please Wear a Poppy'.  Children from across the school also sang 'It's a Long Way to Tipperary'.

After the service had concluded pupils dressed in their respective uniforms carried banners across to St Paul's churchyard to lay crosses on the three war graves in the cemetery.
