A busy start to the Spring Term. As part of this term's topic 'Food and Farming' pupils in both Haytor and Kestor were visited by a three day old lamb who was kindly bought into school by Ben in Kestor's parents. Children also came into school dressed as 'farmers', during the day the went to see the goats and ducks in the 'Clay Cutters' visitor area; whilst there they also saw cows grazing in a neighbouring field. The week came to a close with fruit tasting; pupils sampled a variety of fruits including mango, melon, orange and banana to name but a few.
Burrator took 'a step back in time', pupils visited the school garden and 'The Heath' to forage for items 'Stone Age Man' might have used to create cave paintings. On their return to school children painted their own 'cave paintings' by torch light!
