After the snow and freezing weather of last week children in Haytor came back into school on Monday to find three chicks in the incubator.
On Tuesday, pupils in Foundation and Year 1 visited 'Abbrook Farm' (Teign School's farm), during the day children saw lambs, chickens, ducks, geese and pigs.
World Book Day was held on Thursday, children opted for a 'Harry Potter' themed day with many (including staff) coming into school dressed as various characters from the stories. During the day Foundation and KS1 children made 'spells and potions' and thought about 'ten things they might find in a wizards pocket' while KS2 pupil's day was based on the 'Harry Potter' stories.
Then, the week drew to a close with Foundation children performing their 'Mother's Day Assembly', they have all worked very hard learning their lines, there wasn't a 'dry eye' in the audience!
